Art Chantry Speaks | Degenerate Bebop

Date: Thursday, February 18th, 2016
Time: 6pm
Location: Marjorie Barrick Museum

As a designer, you probably know Art Chantry is a graphic designer well associated with the posters and album covers for bands that made their big break out of the Pacific Northwest — Mono Men, Soundgarden, and The Sonics among them.

But what you might not know is that Chantry advocates a low-tech approach to design that is informed by the history of the field. It’s also this approach that has landed his work exhibits at at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Museum of Modern Art, Seattle Art Museum, the Smithsonian, and the Louvre.

Don’t miss a brilliant night of design hosted by the UNLV College of Fine Arts Graphic Design & Media Program and supported by AIGA Las Vegas. The event is free and open to the public.
