Women’s Leadership Lecture | Ashleigh Axios

WHEN: Thursday, July 28, 2016 | 6:30 – 8:30

WHERE: Historic Fifth Street School | 401 S. Fourth St., Las Vegas, Nevada 89101

Join AIGA Las Vegas and former White House creative director Ashleigh Axios for a special Women’s Leadership Lecture: Celebrating Women in the Workforce. In addition to this topic, Axios will share insights into what it is like to work at The White House as a creative director and digital strategist.

Her achievements in this role are extensive, including: the design strategy for two State of the Union addresses; the responsive redesign of WhiteHouse.gov; the visual redesign of the White House petitions platform ‘We the People’; the rainbow lighting on the White House to celebrate the historic Supreme Court same-sex marriage decision; and the digital system that tracks the record of the Obama administration.

Along with her work with the White House, Axios is a board member for AIGA and the president emeritus of AIGA Washington, D.C. There, she served five years and helped form DotGovDesign, an initiative and conference connecting and empowering government designers.

Tickets for this event are from $15 for members and $25 for nonmembers. There is also an opportunity for a private VIP Meet & Greet with Axios for $50 prior to her talk.
